I have absolutely loved it. It has helped me reconnect with myself, the things that are important to me, and given me space to think in a completely different way. I wanted the course to be longer. Thanks for being such a positive source of creativity.
I found it highly stimulating. I really valued the start of each lesson as quite often she’d start off with a bit of art history, which provided some useful context for the lesson. This has made me think about doing a short course in art history, as a consequence. Previously I had art teachers (particularly for drawing) who taught with a focus on exact measurement and precise visual representation. Harriet changed my thinking on this so I’ve learnt not to be worried about whether my drawing is precise, rather my own interpretation. I’ve learnt to become freer in my expression and less afraid of using different media.
After working for a not great company in print design I had lost quite a bit of confidence and motivation to create any new art and designs. Since taking up the course I have felt really encouraged and have learnt so much about different techniques. The class has rejuvenated my creativity and I have re-set up my studio space (spare bedroom!) and have started creating new print work, so I really appreciate what the course has brought to me individually. You have been a great teacher and made us all comfortable to take on new challenges. Thank you!
